From Death to Life

I have good news. Our God can bring dead things to life! Ezekiel 37 is a poignant display of God breathing life in to dead things. Ezekiel watched as dry bones rattled together and put on flesh and skin. Yet there was no movement, no life until God breathed it into them. Life comes from the very breath of God. The people of Israel were scattered, broken and seemingly dead. There were very few signs of life among them. How would Israel ever find life again? They had experienced God’s provision and protection but had strayed from his commands. They would find no hope in their own righteousness BUT there was hope in a God with resurrection power! The hope of Israel is our hope as well. We look to Jesus who said I am the resurrection and the life. The life-giving power that raised Jesus from the dead will bring life to all who believe.
