Live By Faith

I have good news. Although the world around us seems to deteriorate more day by day, the promises of God still stand true. The book of Jeremiah begins with a powerful reminder that God is watching over His word to perform it. (1:12) At times this means that judgement is coming. Israel is warned of this repeatedly and a conquering nation is knocking at their door. At other times it means a reminder that God is still in control and there is still hope! God speaks to Habakkuk and reminds him that the righteous live by faith (2:4) and that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. (2:14) God has a plan for the salvation of His people. It’s Him! In Him is salvation. (Jeremiah 4:7)
