Delight In His Presence
I have good news. God delights in our praise and worship. In 2 Chronicles 5 King Solomon and all of Israel engaged in an amazing celebration. The temple was completed and the people responded in praise and thanksgiving to God. The ark was brought into the temple and the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud so great that the priests couldn’t minister. The glory of the Lord literally FILLED the house. As the people cried “For he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever” God filled the place with his glorious presence. The people joyfully worshipped in His presence. In light of this truth, what a precious gift that God would put on flesh and dwell with us! No longer did a cloud fill the temple, but God himself came to us. Let us rejoice in Jesus and praise God for his goodness!
